On September 22, 2008, Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei met in the Foreign Ministry building with Dr. Zhao Quansheng, professor of the School of International Service of the American University and a number of other overseas Chinese scholars who will attend the third seminar of domestic and overseas Chinese scholars on the Taiwan question in Beijing. He Yafei expressed gratitude to those scholars for their care and support for the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations and the reunification undertaking of the motherland. He noted the Foreign Ministry will continue to listen to their suggestions and opinions and make active efforts to promote the peaceful progress of cross-Strait relations.
