Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh Held Discussion Program with Independence University of Bangladesh

On June 29 Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh held a discussion program with Independence University of Bangladesh (IUB) on "China and Its Foreign Policy". Mr. Wang Yu, Charge d' Affaires of Chinese Embassy, Mr. Bazlul‧Mobin, Vice Chancellor of IUB, diplomats from Chinese Embassy, faculty members and students from IUB attended the program.

Vice Chancellor Mobin spoke highly of China's long history and splendid culture, praised the great achievements made through its opening up and modernization, appreciated China's efforts for holding a successful Beijing Olympic Games. He expressed gratitude for the Chinese diplomats to make a face-to-face communication with IUB faculty and students.

Charge d' Affaires Mr. Wang Yu elaborated on China's policy toward Taiwan Issue and Tibet Issue and briefly introduced China's social and economic development following its reform and opening up. Mr. Mu Yongpeng, Political Chief of Chinese Embassy presented Chinese history, social and economic development, Sino-Bangladesh relationship etc. through PPT and expounded China's foreign policy and its policy toward Bangladesh and South Asia. The diplomats had an extensive and deep exchange of views with IUB faculty members and students.
